Can An RV Toilet Flange Be Replaced Without Ripping Up The Floor

Question:

I have a 1998 Komfort Trailer,model 23T, ser 19559 Want to replace the toilet flange without cutting floor or removing tank.Is this possible,mine is busted up,sitting up off floor at a slight angle,Im replacing toilet and we have had odors from tank.

Hey Tom,

I would first see if your flange is screwed on like the # T05-0784 or # T05-0782. If not and it's glued on you can use a rotary tool with a cutting wheel to cut the pipe from the inside out to avoid pulling the floor. Depending on how they sealed the bottom up you might just have corrugated plastic as the bottom of the trailer that you can cut to gain access to the pipe from below and then just patch back closed with zip ties and RTV sealant.

If none of these options work then you would unfortunately need to cut out a bit of the floor to get enough access to the pipe/flange to replace it.
