The Rackem Single Hook Rack, part # RA-8 is designed for enclosed trailers and are made so that they hook over the top of the wall. For added stability you can use the pre-drilled mounting holes to attach to the wall of a trailer. It may be difficult to find a mounting solution on an open trailer that would keep this very stable and secure.
I recommend the Pack'Em Trimmer Rack for Open Utility Trailers, part # PK-6. This is designed for open trailers and attaches to the lower rails. It holds three trimmers and includes 4 keyed-alike padlocks.
