Will this solution work for a 2017 f150 as well. 6.5’ bed. Need a 36” extension for the exact same Tab 400 trailer.

Hey Randy, yes it would work for your truck. For your 2017 Ford F-150 the TorkLift SuperHitch Hero Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - Dual 2" Receivers # TLF1005H will partner with the factory hitch on your truck. It is designed for 6-1/2 foot bed trucks which is what you have.
This will give you the ability to use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension for SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers 36 inch long # TLE1536

Hey Randy, how did the setup with the SuperHitch Hero and the 36-inch SuperTruss extension work out on your F-150 and Tab 400 trailer? Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same truck and trailer combo.
