Left Trailer Tire Is Constantly Deflating After Tire Has Been Replaced

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/09/2024

Question:

I have a horse trailer that always has the right rear tire go flat. I bought new tires and the same thing happened so I bought a new rim and now it is even happening with the new rim. A tire will only stay properly aired up for about a week maximum do you have any ideas what would help me fix this problem. Thank you

Moana, since you mentioned that your tire is still going flat even after it's been replaced then that makes me wonder if maybe there has been damage to the wheel or a bent spindle that's causing the leak, so I'd suggest checking on that first before moving forward.

You also want to make sure that the tire is being inflated to the max PSI that's written on the sidewall. If you're still having issues after checking all of this, I'd suggest taking it to a professional to have them look at what's going on.

Hey Moana, what ended up happening after you checked the wheel and spindle on your horse trailer? Did a professional find anything that explained the slow leak? Your update could really help others dealing with a similar tire issue.
