I have a 2006 Holiday Rambler Alumascape 31 SKD. I replaced the gearmotor with a 142178. Under load it only lifts a half inch or so then stalls. Would the LC 196308 cure that problem?

It depends on what kind of landing gear you have but it could be a gear issue too. If you could comment below or email me directly with a part number off of your landing gear I would be happy to help you troubleshoot.
The Replacement Motor for Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear item # LG-142178 you used looks pretty similar to the Lippert HD 6500-lbTuson item # LC196308 you were looking at. So connection wise they should be interchangeable.

I replaced it with the LC196308 and now it raises and lowers with no issues.
