Question:
Hi there. I have had a difficult time trying to figure out how to install a brake controller on a 2014 Dodge Journey. Im not surw how to get the wires into the cab, and which wire i can splice into to connect the trailer brakes too. Do you have any instructions on this specific vehicle? Thank you!

Hey Bryan, so getting the wires from the cab of the vehicle into the underhood area is challenging but it comes down to finding a hole in the firewall and feeding the wires through that.
As far as splicing into vehicle wiring that comes down to finding the correct stoplight circuit for the red wire which you'll need to use a circuit tester like the part # PTW2993 to find a wire that runs to the stoplight switch that only has voltage when the brakes are applied. That is only circuit that gets wired to your vehicle's wiring.
