2008 Franklin dual axel 19 ft 6 replaced backing plate when hooking wires does it matter what wire you hook into

Hello Ron; no, it does not matter what wires are connected to what when installing new backing plates like the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # 23-468. As long as one wire is connected to power and another is run to ground you will be good to go. It does not matter which is which.
