Updated 08/27/2024 | Published 08/22/2024

Question:

I have 5200lb axles could I go with a heavier spring ? Like a 600lb or 7000lb? Are the price for all 4? Or is it $XXX for just one? Thank you

Hello there!

You can go with a heavier rated leaf spring, but the problem is that it will cause your trailer to be more stiff - having some give in the spring is a good thing because it gives your trailer some cushion and absorbs road shock.

If you're needing the 24-7/8" length you were looking at then the best solution would be the 5,300 lb Spring # e76SR, but if you wanted something heavier, I wouldn't go more than the 7,000 lb Spring # e64SR.

To get the correct length of leaf spring you'll need to lift your trailer by the frame and measure from center eye to center eye. If this is different than 24-7/8" please let me know and I can help you figure out what the best replacement would be.
