Is There Replacement Locking Saddle Pin for B and W Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch

Published 08/21/2024

Question:

This might be an old post. I am also looking for a locking saddle pin for a B&W Companion. The part that you show above has a 1/2” diameter and that won’t work in a B& W Companion. It’s closer to 3/9” (.4395”).

Hey Henry, so are you sure a 1/2 inch locking pin like the # TR63254 wouldn't work? Reason I ask is because we sell just the replacement saddle pin for the B and W Companion hitches with part # BW3025-119A and it is 1/2 inch in diameter. Is it possible you measured wrong?

I’m sure. And I’m positive that I didn’t measure wrong! I do see a typo on my email to you it should read 3/8” not 3/9” (which would be 1/3 of in inch which would be odd). The .4395” measurement came from a calipers measurement. Maybe B &W either had or has different pins but the caliper measurement that I gave you in my new Companion is what my pin measures. I would go grab a pin for yourself and measure it so you don’t send the wrong sized pins to people. Anyway, I’m looking for either a locking pin or a padlock that will the hole in which the saddle pin fits.
