Replacement Lock/Latch Assembly for Sears X-Cargo X-treme Cargo Box

Question:
I have a Sears X-Cargo X-treme cargo carrier and would like to replace the lock. Would this work for it? The mechanism is on the side of the box and operates a slide as opposed to the shorter boxes that have a latch at the back. Thanks in advance.

Hey Chris, so we have found that the Sears X-Cargo lock assemblies can be replaced with the Sportrack lock assembly part # SR03807. Does this look like what you have on your box currently?
