Where Are The Brake Control Wires On A 2019 GMC Savana Van Without Factory Tow Package

Question:
2019 GMC servana van without factory tow package. Was going to get a P3 from you however I need the wiring. I looked at the trailer receptacle and there is not a blue wire just Brown green yellow black thats it. I also looked at the brake light switch on the pedal and that has 3 wires and I assume that the wiring goes to the BCM and then to the brake lights. Where do I connect the brake light wire that goes to the P3 controller? Thanks in advance Hill

Hello Hill, thanks for reaching out. The 2109 GMC Savanna can be tricky, but the wires for connecting the P3 brake controller are usually taped and tucked under the driver side floor mat up towards the firewall. If nothing is present there, you will need to run your own wire.

Hey Hill, how did things go with wiring the P3 brake controller on your Savana? Were you able to find the wires under the floor mat or did you end up running your own? Your update could make it easier for the next person working on the same setup.
