Parts Needed to Rewire Lights on a Trailer

Question:

I have a ‘78 Dodge American clipper 21’ rv. I need to replace all wiring for the front blinkers, rear blinkers, brake lights and reverse lights. Rats have chewed through everything. I should probably also update the rear light housing. Lastly I need to replace the clearance lights.

To replace all of the wiring for lights on your trailer you're going to need quite a bit of 16 gauge Bonded 4 Wire item # 16-4B-1. This is sold by the foot so you'll need to take some measurements to ensure you purchase enough. This 16 gauge wire can be used with your front blinkers, rear blinkers, brake lights and reverse lights.

As far as a replacement rear light housing goes we will not have something that matches your original one. If it's been upgraded in the last 10 years there's a decent chance we'll have a replacement or at least something comparable though. I would just need to see a part number or get the dimensions off of the light itself.

As far as replacement clearance lights go I strongly recommend upgrading to LED. I don't know what size or color you are looking for but we have many different shapes, sizes, and colors which I have linked below.

If you would like to email me some measurements and some specific details about what type of lights you're wanting to add I would be happy to make a recommendation. I have no way of knowing what size, shape, or color is currently on your trailer though. There is no database for that information like there is for cars.
