Will Pollak 7-Way Tester # PK12741 Make 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Think a Trailer Is Connected?

Question:
Will Part Number: PK12741 trailer plug tester in fact emulate a trailer when plugged into a 2024 Silverado 2500HD? Ive read many reviews on this tester and find conflicting reports. I want a tester that will make the truck think that there is a trailer plugged into the 7 way plug so it will activate some functions in the truck. Thanks!

A tester like the Pollak # PK12741 typically does not place enough power draw on the 7-way to make the truck think it is connected to a trailer. You would need a tester like the Hopkins # HM50918 which is a more accurate/reliable tester and puts draw on the 7-way rather than the limited draw of the LED lights on most testers.
