Thanks for the information! I don't have access to any kind of system that reads VIN's but you gave me enough to answer your question.

If your 2017 Kia Forte LX has a automatic transmission you'll need to use a tow dolly like the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes item # DM9713045. I checked the owner's manual and you can only flat tow the manual models.

To flat tow your 2017 Kia Forte LX, with a manual transmission, you will need the following parts:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar item # RM-520 and item # RM-643

Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # RM-521640-5

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267

Supplemental Braking System - Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # BLU37TR

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. To add a hitch to your 2023 Thor Luminate BB35, I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide item # C13702. This is a universal hitch that can be welded or bolted on. It has a 2" receiver with a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 500 lbs maximum tongue weight.
