Option For Replacing Or Repairing UFP Calipers
Question:
Im working on an 09 Prestige boat trailer sitting under a Crownline boat. I has disc brakes on the front axle and the actuator is a DX7.5L A-60XL. The calipers have UFP stamped on them. I need rebuild kits for the calipers or new calipers, which ever I can get. Im suspicious that the master cylinder also needs replaced but I havent tried to remove it from the actuator yet and wont until I repair the calipers. Can the master cylinder be replaced? It has the solenoid for brake fluid pressure cut out when backing. Can you help me get these parts?

Hello Glenn. I do have a solultion for you, but UFP is no longer in business, so there is no way to source a repair kit or a replacement caliper. Since other brands calipers will not directly replace the UFP, your best option will be to do with a whole new disc brake kit.
Assuming your axles are 3,500 lb rated you can use the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Hub/Rotor part # K2HR35D which will come with new hub/rotors, calipers and brake pads.
As far as the master cylinder, it can certainly be replaced. To replace the master cylinder on the Dexter DX7.5L A-60XL you will need the following:
- Replacement Master Cylinder Assembly for Dexter Brake Actuators # DX44FR
