Question:
Hello, I have a fifth wheel RV 2004 Gulfstream Mako Supreme model 31 FRBH. Im looking for a replacement axle. The faded sticker on one of the axles says the spring center is 68.5, which I dont see as a filter option on your website. Its a Dexter axle and I can see Dexter 44871 on the faded label. Its a dual axle setup with 5 bolts on the backing plates and electric brakes. I cant make out much else on the sticker. GVWR is 11,220. Can you please help with determining a replacement axle with this information. Am I going to need to weld on new spring perches at the current positions on the old axle? Thanks, Mark

Hey Mark, so unfortunately we don't have every axle configuration so what will be your best option will be to find a local trailer shop who can order in custom axles and get them exactly what you'll need. What you'll need to give them is the distance from hub face to hub face, spring seat center to spring seat center, and the capacity of your axle.

Hey Mark, were you able to get the measurements to your local trailer shop for that custom axle? Knowing what solution worked could help others trying to match older Dexter axles like yours.
