Recommended Way to Fit SnapPad Jack Pads On a 1998 Mountain Aire With 10" Square HWH Jack Feet

Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 07/03/2024

Question:

I have a 1998 Mountain Aire 4080. It has an HWH leveling system with 10 square feet that are held on by the springs that retract them. I want to put snap pads on my rig. Do you sell feet that would fit on my rig? Could I just buy Lippert 10 or 12 inch round feet and snap pads and have a welder put places for the springs to attach to them?

Rather than going through the process of cutting off your current feet and welding new foot pads on it may be easier to simply cut the landing pads down to fit a 10" Round # SN58FR or 8" Square # SN87FR set of jack pads.

Hey, how did trimming the landing pads to fit the 10-inch or 8-inch SnapPads work out on your Mountain Aire? Your update could make it easier for the next person looking to upgrade their HWH leveling system.

@RobinH I never did get this to work. I've talked to many of their reps and such. They do NOT make them for the 10" square feet. The square feet I have are not attached by any bolt or anything. The springs are the only things that hold them on the cylinders. I contemplated buying 10" round feet with pads and welding the attachment points for the springs on them, but I've been warned that doing this leads to the extra width of the pad more likely to catch on things and force the foot off of the cylinder which can lead to it coming off while driving down the road. I don't want this to happen.... So, thus far I have not completed this upgrade.
