Question:
I need a swing away hitch mount for a mobility scooter. I see them on your site but need confirmation that my scooter will not damage it if we open the hitch to use the vehicle liftgate. Scooter weighs guessing 100 lbs

The Yakima BackSwing Swing Away # Y02483 is capable of supporting up to 250lbs. It is the only swing away we carry which isn't manufacturer specific to what accessories it can be used with. As your scooter is only 100lbs and the rack it will sit on are going to be well below the maximum 250lb limit you are not going to have any issues.

Hey, how did things go with the Yakima BackSwing swing away hitch for your scooter? Did it handle the 100-pound load smoothly when you opened the liftgate? Your update could make it easier for others using a similar setup.
