Does Installation of Bearing Buddy Require Removal of Zerk Fitting

My boat trailer has grease fittings installed on the spindles but I want to replace them with bearing buddies. Do I need to remove the original fittings?

Hi Kevin; yes, you will need to remove the zerk fittings to install the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB2240SS.

The Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors - Model 2240SS - Stainless Steel (Pair) #BB2240SS have a lip that is 3/8 inch that drive into the hubs. The inside of the Bearing Buddy from the edge to the retaining snap ring measures 1 inch on the inside.
