Review of Kodiak Accessories and Parts KR12D

Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna take a look at the Kodiak 12 inch Dacromat finish rotor, with the six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. And this is for 5,200 pound to 6,000 pound axles. Now, this is a slip on over the hub rotor. Makes it very easy to convert your hydro axle to a disc brake axle. This is designed to fit over a standard idler hub, and it's held in place by the wheel and the wheel bolts. This is a cast iron construction so it ensures a nice, favorable friction coefficient for necessary stopping power. This part has a Dacromat plating on it to provide superior corrosion resistance for freshwater/saltwater use and it does have a 300 to 400 hour salt spray rating.

The rotor is also a vented design, you can see right along here. This will effectively dissipate the heat to prevent any heat related damage. And what's nice about this part is there's no need to replace your entire hub and rotor assembly if only the hub or the rotor becomes damaged. Now the distance from your hub face to hub face will increase by about half an inch. This part is made in the USA. Again, the specs on this, it's designed to fit axle capacities of 5,200 pounds to 6,000 pounds.

It does use a wheel size of 15 inches and larger. The bolt pattern on this is a six on five and half inch bolt pattern. Overall diameter or outer diameter from edge to edge is 12 inches. The inside diameter, from this edge to this edge is 7 3/4 inches and the bolt hole diameter is a half an inch. But that should do it, for the review on the Kodiak 12 inch Dacromat finish rotor with the six on five and half inch bolt pattern for 5,200 to 6,000 pound axles.
