Impact of Higher Leaf Count on Double-Eye Springs

Question:

How will having two more spring sections effect the ride of my camper

I believe you are talking about the leaf count on the leaf springs. The leaf count won't have an impact on the ride as long as the rating is the same. For example, the 4-leaf # e47SR will have the same ride quality as the 6-leaf # e94SR since they're both rated for 6,000 lbs.

A higher leaf count may result in them lasting a little bit longer with the extra material but it wouldn't be noticeable. The only real difference between the two aside from the length would be a 3/4" difference in height from the leaf thickness.

The most important thing when replacing leaf springs is to match the length and the axle capacity. I went ahead and attached an article below explaining how to measure for your reference.

Hey, how did things turn out with the 6-leaf springs on your camper? Did the ride feel about the same as before once you matched the length and axle capacity? Your update could make it easier for others comparing different leaf counts.
