Hello Rob, thanks for reaching out. Honestly, I do not have a way to give you an accurate answer to that question since I don't know the exact trunk size of your Civic. What I can tell you is the RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack # RKY10004 ships in a box that is 46x12x10. It is safe to say that if this box will fit in your trunk, then the assembled rack will as well. I suggest you compare these measurements to the size of your truck to be 100% sure it will fit.
I drive a Toyota Corolla and I have in the past fit a few bike racks in the trunk without issue. Generally, you can make it fit one way or another. If you can fold the seat down it will fit with no problems. I imagine this will be the case with your Civic too since it is sort of similar to the Corolla.
