Hello Josh,

For your Suburban water heater model SW16DELC, I recommend replacing it with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - Black # FR93FR (it’s the one you were looking at).

Your current cut-out is 16-3/8" H x 15-1/2" W x 22" D, and the # FR93FR measures 12-5/8" H x 12-5/8" W x 19-1/4" D, so it’ll fit with no issues at all. Since your Suburban’s outer door frame is 17-3/4" H x 16-7/8" W, you’ll want to pair it with the Replacement Access Door for Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - 18" x 18" - White # FR73FR to cover the space properly.

Getting ready for a big camping adventure? If so, where are you headed?

@KateF . Would the fr93fr be the replacement to a sw16del water heater as well? I read your thread to Josh a, and my question is the same except his model has a c at the end and mine does not.

@Tj Yes, you can replace your sw16del with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - Black # fr93fr. You will need to do a little bit of modifying to get it secure in place, but that would be the case with any water heater. The tankless is definitely the way to go. You will want the 18x18" door # FR73FR. *Another thing I would like to mention that I did not before, the tankless water heaters still hold some water, so it is important that you still winterize the water heater if being stored in cold weather, you don't want the little bit of water it does hold freezing and cracking the water heater.
