Question:
We want to get this latch/bar for our cargo trailer-camper conversion for when its not in use. However, we are concerned about getting locked in by pranksters. Is there a method, like a secondary hasp, to prevent this bar from being inadvertently locked? Thanks.

You would just need to lock the latch shut after you opened the trailer. That way the only way someone could close the door and lock it would be to first unlock the latch.
Most likely you were planning on using a padlock to lock the door closed like the part # 131D, so when the door is open you would just need to put the padlock back on the latch and you would prevent the latch from getting shut while you are in the trailer.
