Question:
I have a new dometic air conditioner on my trailer. I noticed birds have made a nest inside does dometic make anything to keep these birds out? Screens or something else didn’t have any problem with my older air conditioner.

No, they don't because Dometic is concerned with debris filling up the screens and blocking the intake of air to the unit making it less efficient. You can try to attach some screening like item # UF63FR but you'll want to make sure you keep it cleaned out.

I climbed up on roof of trailer and pulled cover off it was filled with a nest so much grass a twigs that the fan would not have been able to turn and would have burned out. It took over an hour to clean it out with the help of an air compressor. While I was up there I noticed other birds entering the other dometic air conditioners but not the furion models. This is a manufacturers problem that could be fixed by the company but they will not listen. Maybe your company can convince them to do something because people who don’t realize what’s going on could have their air conditioners ruined. I cut some screening to put around the bottom holes hopefully that will keep them out. This is a 2023 dometic brisk 11 air conditioner

Thanks I was thinking about something like that the holes around the bottom are bigger than the sides. Our old dometic we didn’t have any bird problems. These are starlings and they can get into anything small wish dometic would take this into consideration and fix the problem doesn’t seem like that big a deal . I don’t know if what you suggested will be wide enough but I will climb up and take some measurements. Thanks
