Hey Dan, it looks like the 2009 Cadillac DTS has a towing capacity of 1000 lbs so as long as the trailer weighs less than that it could tow a trailer. We have a trailer hitch that fits your vehicle with the Curt # C12058 and then for trailer wiring you'd need the part # 118535 as well.
