Parts Needed to Install a 7-Way and Trailer Brake Controller on a 2023 Kia Sorento X-Line

Hi, I recently bought a 2023 Kia Sorento X-Line and was wanting to put a 7 pin connector on so the brakes on my trailer work. I was wondering what I would need to accomplish this as there is not a lot of info that I could find regarding a 7 pin installation. I’ve looked at my car and it looks like there are already plug and play deutsch connectors at the rear by the spare tire as well as under the dash by the fuse panel? I’m hoping you can help me figure this out. Thanks, Lyndon

You are going to want to install the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK24FR to get a 7-way on your 2023 Kia Sorento X-Line. I have linked an installation video for this on a 2020 Sorento near the bottom of the page so you can see what all is involved. The wiring kit includes a connector for a Tekonsha Brake Controller # 90195.
