Question:

I have a 2004 Honda CRV. Looks like this will fit seamlessly on my car. I was wondering what the bar lengthinch was referring to. Is that the width of just the bar, or the bar and the mount when it is all assembled? I have a canoe that is 39 inches wide at the yolk. The canoe tapers, so i think this rack should work. Its just cutting it a bit close. Thanks much

Hi Eric,

The Rhino-Rack RVP Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points # RRRVP01 is designed to fit 2002 - 2006 Honda CR-V's with no factory rails that have fixed mounting points. If you look at the roof there should be some small plastic covers to pop out to gain access to the fixed mounting points if you have them. The 37-1/4" and 36-3/8" lengths of the front and rear crossbars are just the crossbars, not including the mounting feet, which would be about 2-3" in length.

Personally, I'd mount a carrier like the Swagman EXO # S65145 to the crossbars so that you don't have to worry about the length of the crossbars being enough to mount to canoe.
