what is the towing load rating for the 1/2inch hitch pin? chromed steel or stainless steel?

I spoke to my contact at Blue Ox and he informed me that the Blue Ox Base-Plate-to-Tow-Bar Lock # BX8859 that you referenced has a capacity of 10,000 lbs and has a plated steel finish, not quite chrome but close.
