I have a 2024 outer banks with SAS page. Do I need to remove the bumper to install this hitch?

Hey Ed, it looks like you won't need to remove the bumper to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C76WR on your 2024 Ford Bronco Outer Banks.

This hitch is just going to bolt onto your Bronco's frame requiring no welding or trimming, and includes all the mounting hardware needed for install.

There is a plate on the new 2024 Broncos that holds the factory installed wire harness. This plate is bolted into the holes where the trailer hitch would go, and the heads of the bolts sit directly behind the bumper. The bumper needs to be removed to install a hitch now. I've been told that all Broncos are coming from the factory with the pre-installed wiring.

@Lance Lance, I'm not seeing anywhere that requires you to remove the bumper to install a hitch.

@BryceD Hey Bryce, thanks for replying. I found this video that shows how my Bronco came from the dealership, and how I believe many are now shipping with the wiring harness installed and a plate in place to protect the connector. The plate is attached to the frame in one of the bolt holes used for the hitch and I don't see how you would remove it with the bumper in place. https://youtu.be/7Mv1cr4f4XU?si=1-qZbgPqjAUOqrhs Check the 9:46 mark on the video.

@Lance Gotcha thanks for that Lance. So what it looks like our techs have found to work is to remove the bracket covering hitch mounting holes by loosening rear bumper to allow clearance for the bolts.
