Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Class III 2-inch hitch, the TowSmart Trailer Hitch Receiver. Folks, this is a custom fit, so make sure you're checking our fit guide here at etrailer.com to be sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Keep in mind, sometimes these videos can become outdated and it can potentially fit newer year makes and models, as well. Now, this is a fully welded carbon steel construction. And as you can see, this is built for strength, stability and durability.
It's a simple bolt-on application. It doesn't get much easier than that, right So there's no welding. And for your Bronco guys and gals out there, you know just how easy it is to put these aftermarket kind of things on the Broncos. So they made it really easy. The complete hardware kit here included gives you the four long bolts, the washers and the nuts needed.
Again, you're gonna be going around the tube back there on the back. And you also have a welded bracket here to support a wiring harness whenever you're done with the install, as well. Now, that is not included as far as the extra bracket that bolts up to here on that hardware, but I like how they put this on here to have it ready to go. You also have, again, your standard 2-inch by 2-inch hole here in the center. You have your standard hitch pin hole.
No hitch pin clip included. Most people already have some anyways. And I wanna point out that you have the safety chain hook points right here. I love how they've elongated these. They're gonna fit extra big hooks, clevises maybe, those sort of things.
Some shackles maybe if you have to do a recovery. You can bolt a shackle on there real quick and use that as a pull point potentially. It is rated for 4500 pounds max gross trailer weight and a max tongue weight of 675 pounds. And it does have that nice black powder coat finish that I mentioned, so you don't have to worry about rust, corrosion, or any of that stuff. So folks, if you're looking for a great hitch for the Bronco, maybe something with a little more extension coming out, this would be a great option for you. I did measure earlier. From this end to the very, very back, I was getting right at 13 1/2 inches from front to back. From this front mount here all the way out to the end of the tube is right at 10 inches. So I hope those quick dimensions help you out as far as knowing your space that you need and those kind of things. That is gonna wrap it up for our look together. I'm Steven. As always, please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. Have a good one.
Took me a little more than the 30 minutes, but was a very straightforward and was perfect for my bike rack so it wouldn’t interfere with the spare tire on the Bronco!
Didn’t see the hardware inside the hitch at first so now I have two sets of grade 8 hardware lol. You don’t have to remove the bumper entirely but you do need to loosen it to move it away to get the original bracket that contains the 7 pin unused connector (noted on this page the bumper may need to come off). Leaving one bolt in to hold the bumper up and moving it away from frame made it a lot easier to install. And then you don’t need a second person to help install it back on. Ensure you disconnect the parking aid harness on each side before doing so.
Fit like a glove.
Perfect for my 2025 2 door Bronco!
