Trailer wiring harness # C56225 is designed for 2006 Nissan Xterra models that have the factory tow package and replaces a factory 4-Way. If your Xterra does not have the factory tow package then this harness will not work.
You will need a jumper harness and the proper relays to add a wiring harness to your vehicle using # C56225. I have included a link to a video showing installation and a link to the instructions for you. You will also want to check the underhood fuse box and make sure the fuses for the turn signals and brake lights are in place.
