Hi there Victor; appreciate you writing in, and we can get your 2021 Chevy Express van set up to tow a camper trailer. I'm going to go ahead and assume your van does not have the factory tow package (if you did you'd already have trailer wiring connectors), and the basics of what you need are a hitch and 4-way wiring, which activates the trailer's lights. The correct parts for your van are the following:
- Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98861
- T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # 55540
If your trailer does not have electric brakes you're set, and won't need anything else for your van. If the trailer does have electric brakes you'll need to add two more things, a 7-way and brake controller:
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
- Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170
- Wiring Adapter # C51515
The Installation kit will give you the 7-way and rest of the wiring needed to install the brake controller, and the wiring adapter is needed to connect the controller to the wiring. Then for the controller, I highly recommend the Spectrum because it will give your trailer smooth braking proportional to that of your Sprinter so you have a more comfortable, safe towing experience. Along with that, the Spectrum stands out because of its dash-mounted knob that keeps a clunky unit out of the cab of your vehicle.
