Hi, I currently have size 4.8 12 load range B Kenda tires on a small boat trailer that carries a 12’ aluminum row boat and 15 hp outboard motor and wanting to size up to your Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire - 5.30-12 - Load Range B # AM10064. I’ve read that a load range B tire isn’t recommended on trailers and a load range C should be used. I’m not so sure that this info is really true at all but could you please clear this up? I was thinking of the size up to handle a 65 mph speed better than the 4.8 tire size. What is your guys opinion? Thank you.

@Brad We recommend load range B tires for trailers all the time. It really comes down to what kind of trailer they are on, and how they will be used. The C rage tires will have a higher ply rating and a thicker sidewall which technically makes them more durable. The thick sidewall can make for a bumpy ride on small trailers. If the B range tires are serving you well currently, that is probably what I would stick with. As long as you have enough clearance in the fender/wheel well area, the # AM10064 will be a great choice for an upgrade.
