Roof Rack Recommendation for 2007 Dodge Ram Truck with Leer Canopy

Question:

I have a 2007 dodge long bed leer canopy Im look ok to put a rail system kit on it.. Doesnt have the tracks either yet. First question does the track go within the reinforced part of the canopy.. I see both done but not sure whats approved. Second question is what track with cross bars do i get for a long bed that covers the most area with the tracks but the cross bars dont go out further then 2-3 inches pass the canopy

I recommend using the Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack for Camper Shells # Y02-480B which comes with 63" long tracks as well as 54" long crossbars which should give you a little bit of overhang on your canopy.

Per the instructions, Rhino-Rack says to position the tracks as close as possible to the outside edge of the canopy to ensure max strength. I've attached a review video of this system installed for your reference.
