Solution for Titan Tire Chain that Appears to be Too Loose

I purchased these for my plow truck a 1994 ram 1500 with 265/70R16 tires. They are very loose even when on the closest link. Do I need to remove a cross chain to make them tighter?

Hey Justin, yeah that does look really loose. Can you verify that you have all of the cam tensioners tight and that is for sure your tire size? If so, you would need to trim down the cross chains and then use the repair link part # TC250CCRL to mend the chain once the section is removed.

Yes I had all the cam tensioners tightend and that is my tire size. I did some more research. The width of the cross chains was correct. I just needed to remove one cross chain so that I could get the side chain tight enough.
