Question:

My 2006 Toyota Corolla dingy is giving out so I decided to purchase a 2024 Chevy Equinox to pull behind my motorhome. I already have a Blue Ox tow bar and Blue Ox Patriot braking system. Which baseplate and tail light wiring system do recommend? Thanks

Hey Joe, thanks for reaching out!

Since you already have the Blue Ox tow bar you'll want the Curt Custom Base Plate Kit # C28FR for your 2024 Chevy Equinox because it matches up directly with your tow bar.

Then for wiring I recommend the Roadmaster wiring which is part # RM26FR for an LS or LT and then part # RM38FR for a Premier. If you already have a 6-Way to 7-Way adapter then you need parts # RO94FR and # RO44FR respectively.

It looks like you'll also need to disconnect your battery for towing so I recommend installing the Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766 and the Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to keep your battery topped off and disconnecting it as simple as pressing a button.
