Does this base plate work with 2023 Equinox Premier with active lower shutters

The Curt Custom Base Plate Kit # C28FR doesn't have any notes listed stating that it will interfere with the lower active air shutters on your 2023 Equinox Premier. If it does the shutters can be trimmed or removed to allow for the baseplate to fit. One of our installers, Brad, has a done this more times than I can count since the Chevy Equinox is a popular choice for flat towing.

If you haven't picked out the rest of your flat towing components then I have the following recommendations:

Tow Bar: Curt Rambler Steel Tow Bar # C26FR. This tow bar comes with coiled safety cables included so you won't have to purchase them separately.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Since you have a Premier edition you'll need to use smart diodes. If you have LED lights then you'll want the Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM38FR. If you have incandescent lights you'll need part # RM26FR instead.

These kits will splice into your tail light wiring to display your motorhome's traffic signals through the tail lights of your Equinox.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This system offers proportional or full braking modes which you can adjust while on the go with the included remote. A charge line it is also included to help keep the battery of your Equinox topped off while you tow, which is important since your battery will drain otherwise.

If your motorhome doesn't have a charge line ran to the 7-way then you'll want to pick up the # RM-156-75 as well to run one.
