Can Inner Yakima SkyBox Locking Handle Be Replaced

Question:

Hello, I need some assistance from you guys. Please refer to the picture attached. I need the piece that is located inside of the skybox in the back part of the handle. there is a plastic pin that connected to the handle, that plastic pin is broken therefore I cannot open the skybox on the passenger side. Do you guys know how that part is call and if you guys have it? Thanks in advance

Thanks for reaching and out providing the photos, Paul!

The inner section for the Replacement SuperLatch Handles # Y8880348 that came on your Yakima SkyBox unfortunately isn't a replaceable part, which I confirmed with my contact at Yakima.

If that part being broken doesn't allow you to operate the handle properly then I recommend checking to see if this is a warranty issue, and if it can't be replaced under warranty then I can help you look into getting a whole different box from our linked selection. I really like the new SkyBox NX which has the same basic functions as the original version but with a few small upgrades like the look of the box and the design of the lock.
