Question:

Im interested in this model Thule Insta-Gater Pro Truck Bed Bike Rack - 1 Bike but have concerns about my bike swaying while driving. Is there a way of tying down the bike while in the bike rack to prevent the bikes from tilting or swaying while driving? Jim Thomas

Hi Jim, so in our experience with the Thule Insta-Gater Pro Truck Bed Bike Rack # TH93VR the bike will be stable with very little movement. You may a small bit of movement of the front tire when going over bumps but nothing severe at all. You could add some stabilizer straps like part # SA3033 to help keep the tires in line with the frame at all times. They might be nice to have especially if you plan to be taking long trips with your bike. The straps are definitely not required though. You could also potentially add a strap to a tie down point in the truck bed, but again, you shouldn't have to.
