Why Doesn't Valterra Gray Water Drain Connector Use Garden Hose Thread Size

Is this, and the related straight adapter, actually 3/4inch MPT which would be incompatible with garden hoses, as it is a tapered NPT thread or is it 3/4inch GHT Garden Hose Thread which is a straight thread compatible with hoses that have a rubber washer in the female fitting? I dont see GHT mentioned anywhere and am totally baffled, because it seems like this is designed to be used with hoses that have standard garden hose threads i.e. GHT. Please help! I need to know if this can hook up straight to any garden hose or if it needs an NPT-GHT adapter. And if it can hook up to a garden hose, please correct the listings for this and all related parts/hoses to reflect the fact that these are actually GHT, not MPT!

Hey Wyatt, so we have a hose that was designed to be used with the # T01-0091VP with the part # W01-4180 which does have a different thread size. This is intentional so that someone doesn't use a standard garden hose that someone might attempt to drink out of later.
