The ability to use the hitch from your 2011 Honda CRV on the 2014 model is going to depend on which hitch you have. For example, I spoke with my contact at Curt and Trailer Hitch, # C11555, will fit multiple years of the CRV including the 2011 and the 2014 yet the other hitches we carry are not compatible with the newer model.
If you happen to have a hitch that will work on the 2014, you will want to order new hardware before installing the hitch. Hardware is meant for one time installation and can be replaced with Hardware Kit for Trailer Hitches, # RHK. Simply enter your hitch item number and manufacturer for all of the hardware needed to reinstall your hitch.
All of the wiring harnesses that we currently carry for the 2011 are not the same harnesses as those for the 2014. The correct wiring harness for the 2014 model would be # 118561.
