Compatible Roadmaster Baseplate For A 2019 Chevy Equinox AWD With A 2.0L Turbocharged Engine

Question:
I have a roadmaster falcon 5250 towbar and wanted to confirm this baseplate is compatible with my 2019 equinox 2.0 awd. Are there any additional parts needed for the physical towbar to baseplate connection. If I was to upgrade the towbar later would I have any issues? Thanks!

Hi Chris,
Yes, the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-523193-5 would be a compatible fit for your 2019 Chevy Equinox AWD with a 2.0L Turbocharged engine. The Falcon 5250 has direct-connect attachment points that are connected to a crossbar-style crossbar mount adapter so you can just remove it and connect the tow bar directly to the baseplate. If you decide to swap out the tow bar later on then you'll just want to get a tow bar that's compatible with Roadmaster's Direct-Connect attachment style to avoid having to use any adapters.
