Question:
I currently have a 2020 GD Imagine 2500RL. This trailer has what appears to be a slightly abnormal axle setup. The part number is 4440558 Serial Number 132179945 - its a 3500lb axle but the beam is 3inch not 2-3/8 as most 3500lb axles are. I think this same beam is used in the 5200lb axles but not sure. My question is: I would like to upgrade the wheels to 6 on 5-1/2, I realize this would mean new brakes and drums, but are there any 6 on 5-1/2 brakes/drums that are going to fit this axles spindles ? Or do I need to install a new axle as well?

You will only need to change out each Hub # AKHD-655-35-EZ-K on your 2020 Grand Design Imagine 2500RL to switch to the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. You might consider switching from the standard Brakes # 23-26-27 to the Nev-R-Adjust # 23-468-469 so you will no longer have to adjust the brakes as they wear. This will also give you a more consistent brake feel since the brakes will make micro adjustments.
