Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2002 Peterbilt 379EXHD That Ties into Air Brakes
Published 04/16/2014 >
Question:
Id like to know which brake controllers will work to tow a voltage 3950 behind a 2002 Peterbilt 379EXHD? I think I would like a system tied to the airbrakes instead of inertia so braking is smooth while downshifting and using Jakes. Thank you, Kenny

Helpful Expert Reply:
For a brake controller designed to work in proportion with your air brakes on your 2002 Peterbilt 379EXHD that will activate the electric brakes of your trailer you would want the Hayes Air Actuated Brake Controller part # HA100400C that you already checked out.
All of the other electric brake controllers we offer would work as well, but none of them tie into the air brake system like the Warner does. If you wanted to go this route the Prodigy P2 controller # 90195 that you referenced would be what I would recommend because of how easy it is to setup and use, and because of how well it works.
