Will etrailer Enclosed Trailer Transition Plate Work For Horse Trailer

Question:

I would love to get this for my horse trailer. I have a large equipment trunk that I take to competitions and it getting it over the gaps is difficult. However, I would need to be able to either walk my horse over it or remove it to allow my horse to walk over it. Would this be doable?

You can definitely use the etrailer Enclosed Trailer Transition Plate # e32JR on your horse trailer. Uninstalling and reinstalling the plate will not be necessary and isn't recommended. The plate is only 15" long so your horse could step right over it without any issues. The plate can also handle 1,000 lbs, so unless the horse put all if its weight on the plate it should be able to handle it if stepped on. Alternatively, you can flip it up into the stowed position and it will be like the plate isn't even there.
