Question:
I am looking for a plug in trailer light harness to fit a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 that did not come with towing package. 4 pin flat is needed but a 4-5 pin flat and a7pin round combination is preferable. Do you have anything to fill the bill? Thank you for your time.

If you don't have a factory connector like the one pictured below then you'll have to do a bit of splicing in wire and unfortunately won't have an easy plug-in installation. You'll want to pick up a 4-pole wire harness # HM48035, some extra 14 gauge wire, heat shrink butt connectors, self-tapping screws, and a spade terminal. The white wire will run to your frame and can be secured with a ring terminal and self-tapping screw. The rest of the wires will need to splice into their respective light functions in your tail light wiring.
From there you can pick up the # ETBC7 to get the rest of what you'll need. This will have a 4-pole connector to plug into the one you just installed and two additional wires to run to the cab and battery. The yellow wire can be connected to the reverse light circuit in your tail lights or just taped off if you don't need it. The blue wire will run to the cab to connect to a brake controller and the black wire will run to the battery for 12v power.
Once complete this will give you both a 4-pole and 7-pole connector to plug into for your different trailers.
