Replacement Trailer Hub Grease Seal with OD of 2.33 inch and ID of 1.68 inch

Question:

I have two hubs that were on one one of my boat trailers and I recently rebuilt it. But when I went to put the seals on the back, the ones I usually use are too big outside diameter. The inside Bearing is a L68149. The outside Bearing is a L44649R The hub is a 5 stud. I used my calipers to measure the OD of the hub the best I could and came up with 2.310” OD. Is it the 68233TB seal I need? That has a 1.68” ID and uses that same bearing. But my spindles are tapered, not straight.

Based on the dimensions you listed the correct seal for your hub would be the part # 010-180-00 which has an inner diameter of 1.68 inch and an outer diameter of 2.33 inch.
