The base plate kit I recommend using for flat towing your 2023 Ford Escape Hybrid is the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM77GR. I really like this style of connection because it's a single bolt that makes everything really simple, plus this style just looks really clean as you can see in the linked installation video.

This base plate pairs really well with the Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-676 which has LED lights on the arms so it's very clear to other people on the road that your vehicle is being flat towed.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
