purchased weight dist. chain kit. Kit incuded 2 c shape pins. what are these used for?

The C-Shaped pins are used to lock the snap-up brackets in place. I have included a link to a video on a weight distribution assembly and install. Go to the 4:50 time mark and you will see how the C-Shaped pins are used.
